This design is dedicated to the Hungarian Uprising of 1956—a series of events that remain in history as one of the most powerful symbols of anti-communist resistance. It began as a student protest against the pro-Soviet policies of the communist government in Hungary, but quickly escalated into a massive civil uprising that grew into a full-scale confrontation with the police and the authorities.
Anti-communist sentiment spread like a wildfire, and nationalism quickly gained the upper hand against those in power. The government fell, and preparations were made to shift the country toward a right-wing course. Then came November 4th, when the treacherous Soviets sent the Red Army onto the streets of Budapest, killing over 2,500 Hungarians and causing 200,000 more to emigrate. They crushed the uprising with brutal cruelty, but the flame that was ignited could never be extinguished again.
Those who shed their blood back then laid the foundations of modern Hungarian nationalism and wrote their names in golden letters in European history. We all remember the victims and the heroic feats, which is precisely why we were inspired to create this model.
